Rooiberg Rhine Riesling

VINTAGE: 1997

DESCRIPTION: Off-dry, full of spices and fruit. Gently balanced. Drink young for the fresher floral attributes, or age for a more complex, spicy-oily bottle development character.

ORIGIN: Vinkrivier, Robertson, about 60 miles from Cape Town.

CLIMATE: Mountains on its northern and southern borders and a hot, arid climate.

SOIL: Fertile soil ranging from loam to heavy Karoo and alluvial soils.

VINIFICATION: Matured in stainless steel.
