Rooiberg Port

VINTAGE: 1994

ORIGIN: Eilandia, Robertson District, about 60 miles from Cape Town.

SOIL: Variations in soil types, ranging from loam to heavy Karoo and alluvial soils.

VINIFICATION: This wine was made from Pinotage, Souzao and Tinta Barocca fermented to the correct sugar level before being fortified. The wine then spent one year in French oak barrels.

WINEMAKER'S COMMENTS: Wine was made from classic Port cultivars. 40% Pinotage, 30% each Saouzao and Tinta Barocca

CHEMICAL ANALYSIS: Alcohol: 18%
