Rooiberg Shiraz

VINTAGE: 1993

ORIGIN: Vinkrivier, Robertson, about 60 miles from Cape Town.

DESCRIPTION: This is an elegant and flavorsome Shiraz with typical smoky aromas. The pleasant oak element adds additional flavor to the wine which is already extremely drinkable, but will benefit further from a few years in the bottle.

CLIMATE: Mountains on its northern and southern borders and a hot, arid climate.

SOIL: Fertile soil ranging from loam to heavy Karoo and alluvial soils.

VINIFICATION: Matured in oak.
